**"If I were stationed overseas for Christmas, wouldn't I miss home?"**

This is a question that we should be asking ourselves every December.

As of October 2015, TIME estimated that there were over 150,000 troops stationed in foreign countries. This means 150,000 children, parents, friends, fiancés, spouses, and neighbors will not be home for Christmas with their families. With such a large number of troops actively serving overseas, these numbers can be disheartening.

But there is something special that you can do this year to let deployed troops know that they're missed back home on Christmas.

We at the Veterans Site have created [a special way to send your warm wishes overseas:](http://po.st/sWcF6d)

**Step 1: Sign this petition to show your support for our troops.**

**Step 2: Leave a comment on this page. When you sign your comment, it will be collected and sent with a care package to a deployed service member.**

**Step 3:** [Send a care package to deployed service members](http://po.st/sWcF6d) **with a Gift That Gives More‚Ñ¢.** Each care package has enough gifts for 10 service-members and donations start at as little as five dollars!

These first two actions are free. All you have to do is sign and leave a comment. Our troops will appreciate your kind words as their supporters back home.

**Whether it's through a donation, a message, or a prayer, make sure you don't forget about the troops who are still deployed this Christmas.**
