Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is a form of child abuse that involves someone shaking a child back and forth, creating whiplash and head trauma. SBS causes grave brain damage and, in some cases, death. If the child does survive, he may suffer blindness, paralysis, deafness, and other serious impairments.
