In most states, child care costs more than in-state college tuition. That puts the cost of child care out of reach for too many families. Moms and dads shouldn't have to decide between keeping their jobs and keeping their kids in a safe, nurturing child care environment.
A bill in the U.S. Senate called the Promoting Affordable Childcare for Everyone (PACE | S. 208) Act would help make child care more affordable for working families by updating the tax code to reflect today's realities.
The PACE Act would update parts of the tax code that help make child care more affordable for working families. It would increase the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit and make it fully refundable for low-income families.
