Help Keep Our Young Veterans Employed

Our young veterans have served America with pride and honor. When they return from service, they deserve to have secure futures waiting for them.

But too often, when a service member returns home from duty, he is met with tremendous adversity in finding employment. In fact, the unemployment rate for young veterans has reached over 25%.

It's not that veterans are unqualified — many return home having learned valuable skills in the automotive, medical, and defense systems fields. The problem lies within a lack of programs that help veterans translate their skills into sustainable employment. Currently there is a program that exists in this vein, but it's only required for marines and isn't as comprehensive as it should be.

**Write to the Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis asking her to support the creation of better programs to help our veterans find suitable employment when they return home from service.**
