**The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service removed the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem grizzly bear from the Endangered Species List in 2017**, turning the management of grizzlies over to Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. NPCA and our tribal and conservation allies are fighting this decision in court.

Wyoming is now rushing to open a grizzly bear hunt that could see up to 24 bears killed this fall. **They're even proposing to allow some baiting** - enticing bears with food and waiting for them to approach for easy kills.
