The Vet who Cruelly Killed a Cat Must Lose Her License!

Justice for Tiger!

Greetings all,

As you can see, we've suspended our petition to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (TBVME), asking them to have Kristen Lindsey's medical license revoked. As you might recall, Ms. Lindsay, a veterinarian, posted a picture of herself having shot a cat with a bow and arrow, bragging about her "first kill." After the Austin County D.A. failed to charge her with any crime, the focus shifted to, at the very least, ensuring that she would no longer be able to practice veterinary medicine.

Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) took up the cause early on and kept the pressure mounting. Because of ALDF's complaint filed with TBVME, as well as their testimony, the board concluded that a violation of their rules of professional conduct had occurred.

That's where you came in.

As of today, 79,191 of you have lined up behind us to demand justice for Tiger, the cat whose life was snuffed out by Ms. Lindsey. A few weeks ago, the TBVME informed her that they were seeking to revoke her license. Ordinarily, I'd be writing to you to report success in our mission. However, Ms. Lindsey had one last card to play, and she opted to play that card.

Lindsey did not respond to the Board, which constituted a de facto rejection of the board's decision to revoke her license. The Board filed a request to docket the case with the State Office of Administrative hearings. At this moment, a hearing with the SOA is scheduled for February 2016.

We firmly believe that this is no defeat, just a temporary roadblock. ALDF and myself will continue to keep you updated, and as the SOA hearing approaches, we will ask once again for you to contribute your voices so that we can finally close the book on this atrocity once and for all.

For all that you've done for Tiger (and all you will do), we thank you.

With Light, Love and Mojo
