If you're busy and on-the-go, and also have small children, it might be tempting to leave them in the car while you run quick errands or stop by the grocery store for a few items. But leaving a small child alone in the car is dangerous and has led to several deaths due to overheating and lack of hydration.
When a car sits under the sun, it heats up very quickly. A car's metal frame attracts heat and traps it in, which is why leaving humans (and animals for that matter) in an automobile is so dangerous. It only takes a few short minutes for the car to reach deadly heat levels.
