Driver Spots Baby Deer Struggling To Walk Across The Road
A motorist in Franklin, North Carolina stopped to watch an adorable newborn deer attempt to cross the road.
The driver shared with ViralHog: "I was driving home one night and I came around the bend and saw a baby deer nursing on its mom."

Naturally, the man stopped to watch as he didn't want to hit them. Unfortunately, the deer "got spooked" and fell on the slick pavement.
According to the Department of Maryland Natural Resources, female deer give birth to one or two fawns and raise them solo. For the first three weeks of life, the tiny fawns rely on their mother to protect them from danger and nurse them.

After three weeks, the fawns are old enough to keep up with Mom on their own, so it's likely the baby deer in the video is younger than that.
The driver added, "I was able to capture a moment between a baby and its mom. The baby was having trouble getting out of the road so the momma came back out of the woods to get it to come back to the woods. It finally did at the end of the video."

Mothers across the board are really so incredible!
