Southern Arizona Cat Rescue (SACR) is a foster-based rescue with over 80 fosters throughout Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Vail. We are dedicated to saving lives of Southern Arizona’s at-risk cat population. With 80% of kittens born outside each year, we strive to save all those in need while ensuring mother cats are never left behind, through adoption if possible or Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Our 2022 goal is purchasing more multi-tiered cat cages and playpens for our foster homes to use. These enable our fosters to care for multiple litters at the same time while ensuring the mandatory 2-week isolation period between litters. We are also rescuing kittens with complex medical cases as there has been a huge need lately, so additional funds for veterinary care is essential.
