Newnan-Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to eliminate animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect in our community through education, promoting the adoption of rescued animals into permanent homes, improving awareness of spay and neuter programs to end pet overpopulation, promoting respect for the lives of animals by establishing a no-kill philosophy, and to provide leadership in support of animal rights legislation.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
