Madera County Animal Services is a government municipal animal shelter and control services department. We provide Animal Control Services for the County of Madera as well as house the stray/homeless animals from City and County of Madera Jurisdictions. We advocate for rescue and offer adoptions of and for the animals in our facility, as well as doing our best at trying to locate possible owners of our intake animals. Our mission is "Saving animals in the HEART of California".

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
