SPEAK Feline Sanctuary consists of stray/abused/abandoned and injured felines in a cageless and natural setting. Prior to their approved adoption, our cats are provided with immediate medical care, blood tested for diseases, vaccinated, treated with flea control, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered. Our dedicated sanctuary staff focuses on providing shelter, love and proper medical care while our cats patiently wait for their forever homes. Our non-profit cat sanctuary is unique in that we are able to take in more seriously injured or ill cats due to our location within the animal hospital. These are cats that would otherwise be put down in another shelter due to the severity of their injuries. Although we will accept any stray cat (pending that we have room available), most of the cats that are brought in are from the Broome County area.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
Every bit counts. Search for your local shelter or rescue below and make a direct donation to support them. The Animal Rescue Site is covering 100% of credit card transaction fees so 100% goes to help.
Beginning on Tuesday, August 31 at 12pm PT, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is again matching all donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000. All gifts will be doubled until the match runs out! Starting at noon PT on that day, a $25,000 total pool will be made available.
