Paws Cat Shelter is an all volunteer no kill cat Shelter located in Rural Woodstock Ct. In 2020 we brought in over 1,000 cats and kittens and adopted out around 700. All of our cat are fixed, tested and up to date on all shots. Our Shelter exists on adoptions, donations and fundraisers. Now that the "world" opened up, our intake has increased by 20% and our revenue has decreased by 60%. Our adoption applications have also decreased by 80% and our surrender requests and calls have increased by 50% Our shelter is at a cross roads right now regarding our future. We have stopped taking anythng in as we have no room. We are just surviving day to day

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
