The Humane Society of Sedona was founded in 1966 and continues to be dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in our communities. Our values of care, commitment, community and compassion are part of our culture and how we approach each animal in the Shelter and the humans that love them. We often rescue animals from overcrowded shelters across Arizona and take those dogs and cats on the euthanasia list for medical or behavioral reasons. Our Emergency Medical Fund is always in need of support as treatment outside of basic care (such as dental cleaning and extractions, surgeries, medication for serious infections) and where we spend much of our funding for the animals.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 31 at 12pm PT, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is again matching all donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000. All gifts will be doubled until the match runs out! Starting at noon PT on that day, a $25,000 total pool will be made available.
