Chicago Cat Rescue was founded in 2006 by a small group of willful women. We wanted to add our voices to the rescue community, to help save homeless cats and kittens, and to encourage and support others to do the same. Since that time, CCR has saved countless animals and helped them find loving forever homes. CCR is a foster based, all volunteer, licensed IL organization. First rate medical care, high quality food, loving foster homes, and doing all we can to meet the individual needs of our cats and kittens is our winning formula! To maintain our high standards, we depend entirely on the support and generosity of individuals to fund our operation. While we've managed for 15 years, the past year-plus has taken its toll on our financial health. Thank you in advance for your support!

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 31 at 12pm PT, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is again matching all donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000. All gifts will be doubled until the match runs out! Starting at noon PT on that day, a $25,000 total pool will be made available.
