Wood products from Catalyst Collections are produced by Artisan Mumtaz Noah along with his wife and children. Mumtaz was once a teacher in Neinawa Plains, Iraq. But his family was forced to leave, fleeing ISIS in 2014. To make ends meet, he went back to the traditional craft of woodworking, but with lack of funds for production and marketing, it was difficult to make a living.

That’s when he joined the training provided by Prosperity Catalyst. This allowed him to strengthen the business and increase their income. They are now making products that suit market trends, they manage their production better, and overall have made their business more profitable. The business is now able to support the entire family, including providing a future for their daughters by affording college tuition fees.
