The women of the Godavari River Basin have been perfecting their art for over 100 years. The cooperative provides work for over 650 women living in villages throughout the Godavari Delta. Having a sustainable income helps the women combat poverty, caste system discrimination, and the economic impact of natural disasters that are all too common in the Godavari River Basin area.
