Indoor Classrooms for Students

Help build three more classrooms so students in Kenya can learn indoors and away from natural hazards.

St. Joseph School in the town of Makindu, Kenya is full of students eager to learn. Due to overcrowding at the school, three classrooms are conducted outside under the shade of a tree. Students have difficulty focusing on learning when they are dealing with natural hazards such as rain, lightening, and even poisonous snakes. Whenever it rains even more classes are disrupted because students have to run inside to existing structures. Other times classes are simply cancelled due to the rain. These children need an environment conducive to learning in order to properly succeed.

With more classrooms comes more opportunity. Funding is desperately needed to construct at least two more classrooms at St. Joseph School. This school will be one step closer to all students being able to learn with a roof over their heads. This will also dramatically reduce the risk for injuries from snake bikes, lightening and other hazards. This will increase concentration and give students the chance to take their schooling more seriously.
