Help Haitian Amputees

Help people who have lost limbs to the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Emergency amputations saved thousands in the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake just outside Port-au-Prince. But while amputation saved lives, after sacrificing a limb, nothing will ever be quite the same for these survivors.
Amputees have lifelong medical needs, particularly children, who outgrow their prostheses quickly. The tragedy in Haiti means that thousands of survivors will need prostheses for years to come.
Mobility Outreach International is investing in prosthetic services in Haiti to allow amputees to rebuild their lives and return to activities they love.
We have been partnered with Mobility Outreach International for many years to help them deliver locally made, quality prosthetic devices to amputees in Vietnam, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, and now Haiti. For more than two decades, Mobility Outreach International has strived to restore mobility to amputees in developing countries.
You can help. Donations through this Gift That Gives More™ go directly toward helping amputees in Haiti regain what they have lost. Funds are routed through GreaterGood.org and earmarked for prostheses and related services in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.
Report from the Field
June 2016
Thanks to your support, success stories like this are made possible:
Schailove is an 11 year old Haitian girl who was born with a congenital condition affecting both of her legs. At MOi she received a below knee prosthesis in her left leg and an ankle foot orthosis in her right one. Before coming to MOi her only way to move around was to crawl on her hands and knees. Now she rides her bicycle to school everyday. Her teacher and grandmother expressed their happiness as their little girl is no longer shunned or bulled by other children, and she now appears to have a group of regular school friends!
Mobility Outreach International, formerly Prosthetics Outreach Foundation, seeks to ensure that children and adults with limb loss or limb deformities in developing countries have access to high-quality orthopedic and physical rehabilitation services so that they can enjoy lifelong independence and mobility.
