"Volunteers are love in motion," the saying goes. The wheels of volunteerism, however, need some help in order to turn.
Every year, the Remote Area Medical® (RAM) Volunteer Corps sends volunteer doctors, dentists, and veterinarians on missions to provide free healthcare and education to people in remote areas around the world. While the professional expertise is donated, the cost of getting there and back again is one of RAM's largest unfunded costs.
You can help. This Gift That Gives More™ helps defray the fuel costs of transporting people and supplies to locations where they are needed.
The Remote Area Medical® (RAM) Volunteer Corps provides free healthcare, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance to people in remote areas of the United States and the world. Founded in 1985, RAM coordinates volunteer doctors, nurses, pilots, veterinarians and support workers to provide no-cost healthcare to those with limited access to care. Medical supplies, medicines, facilities and vehicles are donated. RAM expeditions have served people in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Guyana, East Africa, India, Nepal, and more.
